Land and Sea Development Services (Pty) Ltd was established in 2009 with the mission to provide an industry leading property management service that delivers superior value to property owners and their investments while creating long term positive relationships with our clients through good industry ethics, integrity, and innovation. Land and Sea has a long-term vision to professionalize the managing agent industry by embracing sustainable methods and technology into the future. Our sole business is focused specifically on property management and administration of bodies corporate and homeowners’ association which allows us to focus on giving a consistent professional service for all our clients.
The company name of Land and Sea Development Services (Pty) Ltd first originated in 1991 when Land and Sea Projects (Pty) Ltd was established. This was the vehicle through which Phil Calothi project managed the design and construction of the Club Mykonos resort from conception in 1987. It became apparent to Philip Calothi that the managing agent industry was generally providing an inadequate service to its clients and therefore decided to start a new property management company of his own with the vision to provide a professional property managing agent service and to help guide members and trustees of private estates and sectional title schemes. Land and Sea Development Services (Pty) Ltd was eventually founded in March 2009.
Since 2009 Land and Sea has had great success and grown substantially and is now managing over R50 million in client funds per annum through a wide range of communities which consists in excess of 3500 members. We are very proud to say that we are now recognized as industry leaders and innovators in the property management business. Land and Sea is a member of the National Association of Managing Agents (NAMA), the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) and the Institute of Estate Agents of South Africa (IEASA) and holds a current Fidelity Fund Certificate with the PPRA.
